Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has been released with £230 price tag

Samsung features a new cheapest 5G phone – the Galaxy A22 5G will become available in July starting at €230.

The A32 5G started at €280 and therefore the weird thing is that the A22 5G is that the better phone. Not that we’re complaining. Also, there’s a 4G model of the A22 that differs in several key aspects beyond the connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G

Samsung doesn’t wish to mention chipsets, but it’s pretty clear that this model is powered by the Dimensity 700. It starts with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, which allows it to hit that €230 price target. there's also a model with 128 GB storage, that one can have 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The 4/128GB option starts at €250. Note that different countries will get different models, e.g. Netherlands gets the cheaper 4/64GB, while neighbor Belgium gets the pricier 4/128GB version.


€20 for an additional 64GB sounds reasonable, but the A22 5G features a microSD slot (unlike the A22 4G), so it’s okay to urge the smaller option. The 5G model gets the higher screen too (in contrast with the A32 pair).

The worst part is  what you get may be a 6.6” LCD with 1080p+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
You have to sacrifice the best part of samsung, the amoled display.

However, the 5G model doesn’t do so well within the camera department.

The triple cam on the rear is home to a 48MP main module (no OIS) and a 5MP ultra wide-angle module (plus a depth sensor). The 8MP selfie camera is during a V-shaped notch on the front.



Both phones have 5,000mAh batteries and both support 15W fast charging. Also, both have side-mounted fingerprint readers.

Again, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G are going to be available in select regions starting in July at €230 (or slightly more if the 64 GB version isn't available). you'll pick between four colorways: Gray, White, Mint, and Violet.

Samsung Galaxy A22 LTE

The Samsung Galaxy A22 is sort of different from its sibling, in fact, the name suggests a far greater familiar connection than exists actually . For starters, this one is powered by the older Helio G80 chipset. the bottom memory configuration is 4/64GB, with a 128GB option available, though this point the RAM selection is restricted to 4GB and 6GB. And confine mind that there's no microSD slot on this one.

The screen is different too, very different. It is a 6.4” Super AMOLED panel with 720p+ resolution. The one spec shared between the 2 is that the 90Hz refresh rate. Even the notch features a different shape. And it holds a special camera too, a 13MP unit.

The rear cam features a 48MP sensor within the main module, this point with OIS. and therefore the ultra wide-angle camera gets upgraded to an 8MP sensor. There’s also a 2MP macro cam to stay the depth sensor company.

With different screens come different dimensions too. The A22 4G measures 159.3 x 73.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186g, the A22 5G is greater , thicker and heavier at 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0mm and 203g.
